  • Step #2: Set your printer as follows:

    • Resolution = Best
    • Paper = Photo Gloss
    • (Print your decal on the glossy side of BEL INK JET Decal Paper.)

  • Step #3: Spray your printed sheet evenly with Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear High Gloss spray until the sheet has a shine (2-3 coats). Allow 30 to 60 minutes to dry and set. (This product is available at any craft or hardware store such as Loews, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Walmart, etc. Any acrylic clear coat spray will work.)

  • Step #4: Cut out your image using a standard pair of sharp household scissors.

Perfect White Decal Paper (diff. print settings) November 28, 2016
Reviewer: Brian from North Brunswick, NJ United States
Been fighting with Testors white (kinda see through so colors are off) and Bare-Metal Foil brand (cant get it off the backing).  This paper tested today works great.  Slides off the backin in 60 seconds easily.  The white decal is not see through like testors white, its perfect.  SETUP OF PRINTER: I had to use PLAIN PAPER instead of glossy and HIGH quality setting, came out true to life colors.  GLOSSY setting at HIGH makes the decal way to over colorized on my printer.

So:
White decal paper perfect.
Printer set to PLAIN PAPER and HIGH quality.

Thank you so much, its been a long search.

Having Some Problems November 6, 2016
Reviewer: Alyson from Richmond, VT United States
I have tried both the clear and white papers. The clear works fine, I did find I need to put 3 layers of poly spray on it. The white is another story. I have put on 4 layers of poly spray and the color still comes off plus I have yet to be able to get the decal off of the backing paper. I have soaked it for a longer time than the directions say and still not luck. When I grab on to the decal to try to slide it off only a portions comes and the ink come off on my fingers. Getting very frustrating!

Works, with some caveats October 11, 2015
Reviewer: Essmeier from Tooele, UT United States
I've got an Epson XP-620 inkjet.  I spent a week working on artwork to get the color matching just right, as the decals needed to match existing artwork where they were going to be applied.  Tested it on plain paper until I got the colors exactly right.

Put the decal paper in the printer and set the paper to "photo glossy" as instructed.  Result?  All the colors were too dark and my oranges became reds.  The results were not usable.

I had to test multiple printer settings and while some settings produced good colors, they also added black streaks on the images.  In the end, what I thought was a "ready to print" job that would take only a single sheet of decal paper ended up requiring seven.

In the end, I got the best results by using the PLAIN PAPER setting, HIGH print quality, and digging deep into the printer settings to turn HIGH SPEED off.

At roughly $1.25 a sheet, it was an expensive learning experience.

Great idea. September 9, 2015
Reviewer: DWE from NY United States
Printing is great. The issue/s I had came from the instructions which say to place in water for "45-60 seconds." The first one I put in almost immediately separated from the backing and I am stupidly counting to 45 seconds as the decal itself is floating around. I adapted the time and the average was about 10 seconds or less.

The other issue was more my fault. I traced everything out, cut it to fit but did not grasp that once the decal is loose there is no real way to "match up" anything. The film is so thin is is extremely hard to manage larger pieces - part of that also ties into the release of the film almost instantly once placed in the water. NOTE: One review said it takes longer than the 45 - 60 seconds the instructions suggest once coated with the clear coat but if you only do the 1 -3 coats there is not way it takes longer than 30 seconds, let alone 60.

I am considering trying ink jet printable vinyl next project to see if it is more manageable.

This is the second type of decal paper I've tried. I absolutely love it, it gets the job done. If anything the only thing different from the other paper is you have to leave in water a few seconds longer.I would recommend this product.
